Katie Williams is the founder, maker, scent creator, and creative heart behind Peace Love & Soap. She started the business in 2007 while searching for gentler products for her son’s sensitive skin. What began with handmade soap at home quickly became a much bigger creative outlet—and eventually a full collection of products for the body, home, and everyday life.

Born in South Florida and raised on beaches of Miami, Katie has always been drawn to sunshine, water, nature, and the way a familiar scent can instantly bring back a place or memory. That influence still shows up in many of the fragrances she creates today. She develops the scents, chooses the ingredients, tests new ideas, and remains closely involved in nearly everything made in the Peace Love & Soap studio.

Creativity and movement have always been a big part of Katie’s life. For many years, she owned her own dance fitness studio and as a instructor built a community around music, energy, confidence, being kind to one another and having fun. That same outgoing personality and love of connecting with people also found another home through Peace Love & Soap.

Katie lives in Greenville, SC with her husband, Mike, and their two sons, Cameron and Christian. Mike joined the business full-time as it continued to grow. Their two Peek-a-poo dogs, Remy and Bindi, are also a constant part of daily life and regularly provide a little extra entertainment.

Outside the soap studio, Katie shares the real, funny, and sometimes chaotic moments of her life on social media. Her back yard chickens, family, outdoor adventures, creative projects, fitness, and behind-the-scenes glimpses have helped her build a loyal following on social media.

Nearly two decades after making her first batch of soap, Katie is still happiest when she is creating something new, connecting with customers, and turning ordinary everyday products into something that feels a little more special for the everyday use.
